Awards for Tyro Remotes
In 2010, Tyro Remotes won the prestigious WTC Twente Export Award. The award was presented by guitarist, composer and artist Adje Vandenberg.
The jury headed by Richard Wermelink, praised the international growth and strategic approach of Tyro Remotes to the export field. They were very impressed by the fact that Tyro works with the inside sales representatives instead of field representatives who are all native speakers. The jury also expressed its appreciation for the use of Internet and social media to attract new clients.
“The winner of the WTC Twente Export Award has delivered a remarkable and inspirational achievement in the field of export and entrepreneurship. Ambition, insight and perseverance make Tyro Remotes an example for companies in the Twente region”, said Wijnand Weerdenburg, board member of the WTC Twente Business Club.
The two other nominees were machine manufacturer Almi and garden-lighting manufacturer Techmar. Among other things, during the evaluation process, the jury looked at the international orientation, innovation, entrepreneurship, ambition, foreign contacts and ambassador-role for the region.
The WTC Twente Export Award is awarded annually and is an initiative of the WTC Twente Business Club.
