Fornax Basic: professional yet simple remote for winches
In the development process of the Fornax remote, the wishes and experiences from practical experience were taken central. The focus was providing a professional tool to work with, even for the less professional users. In short: a professional remote control without unnecessary features. This is how Tyro Fornax came into existence.
Remote control with toggle switches
The ‘Fornax Basic’ remote controls have two toggle switches that are easy to operate with gloves. The ‘Fornax Basic Safe’ version has an extra feature and that is the push button Emergency stop. Due to its extremely robust and solid cast housing, it guarantees a long life.
The ‘Fornax Basic’ remotes were originally developed for the forest, where heavy winches drag felled trees from the forest. Therefore, the most important functions are ‘wind up’ and ‘’wind out’ apart from an emergency call function for a horn or flashing light.
Always ready with 9 volt battery
By using a standard 9V battery, the ‘Fornax Basic’ remotes are always ready to be used. The handy ‘low battery’ indication via LED signals on time the status of the battery. Due to the extremely low power consumption, the battery lasts at least one season.
Recently the Fornax is also available in a rechargeable version. This is advisable if one uses the “out of range protection’. Because the remote with the out of range signal is transmitting continuously – to check whether the transmitter is within the range of the receiver, the 9V battery gets empty quickly and therefore, in that case a rechargeable version is advisable.
